OPINION: The system is broken; how can it be fixed?

Description

In this first year of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) using the power rankings from MaxPreps to rank and seed football teams, the vitriol seems to have been more than it was in previous years when the AIA used its own computer formula to complete the process. In the early part of the season, it was the use of preseason rankings, which went away after four weeks, but the strength of schedule component seems to be more skewed than it was before.
